Detectives have charged a second man in connection with the death of a Chesterfield woman.

Jamie Bray, aged 26, has been charged with committing arson recklessly as to whether life is endangered and assisting an offender who is alleged to have committed a murder.

The 26-year-old, of Kingsclere Walk, Chesterfield, appeared at Chesterfield Justice Centre yesterday.

Emergency services were called to a house in Catherine Street in the town at 2am on Thursday, March 3, where they found the body of 32-year-old Gemma Stevens inside.

Gary Tyson, 35, of Shirland Street, Chesterfield, has previously been charged with murder, committing arson recklessly as to whether life is endangered and attempted wounding.
