Peak District farmer 'punched and kicked' for asking walker to go home during lockdown

A Derbyshire farmer was allegedly punched 15 times and kicked in the ribs after asking a Peak District walker to go home amid the coronavirus lockdown.

The incident took place at around 9.45am on Sunday and left the victim, from Edale, “shaken and bruised”, Derbyshire Police said.

The force said the victim did not suffer life-threatening or altering injuries.
